Here you will find savoury baking recipes, such as breads and crackers. Right now, it's just breads.
1 part Gatorade to 2-3 parts AP or bread flour
"Sprinkling" of yeast
Hand mix until not sticky. Feel free to add flour. Proof 1-2 hours. Punch down and knead. Proof on baking sheet 30 minutes to 1 hour. Slice top and bake about 30 minutes at 350F. Let loaf cool until it is cool to the touch.
Notes: I can personally confirm this recipe is a bit wacky. It is only included for posterity. Like the revised version, this was copied from a Tumblr post.
2c AP or bread flour, with extra on hand
1T or 1 packet instant yeast
1 bottle Gatorade, reserve 1c
1T sugar
1T butter, melted
1t salt
Preheat oven to 350F.
Add butter and sugar to 1c Gatorade at 110F. Mix in yeast and set aside until bubbly. In a separate large bowl, whisk together salt and flour. Add yeast mixture and enough Gatorade to form a dough. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough is formed; add more flour if necessary. Shape and proof 20-30 minutes. Bake about 35 minutes at 350F or until the thickest part of the loaf registers 190F.
Notes: This recipe was copied in haste from a Tumblr post that I have since lost. It is likely a bit janky.
